Portion of W Beach Drive to CLOSE Daily for Beach Nourishment Demobilization
From January 30 - February 13 (UPDATED), the area of W Beach Drive from 69th Pl West to The Point will be CLOSED daily from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
This daily closure is to allow for the demobilization and removal of equipment used in the 2025 / 2026 Beach Nourishment Project, as part of the Off-Shore Oak Island (OS-OKI) project. IMPORTANT: During these posted times, NO thru-traffic will be allowed past 69th Pl West.
PLEASE NOTE: This demobilization is for the OS-OKI project only, as sand placement operations continue for the Wilmington Harbor Project, working on the east end of the public beach areas near the Oak Island Pier..
