Business of the Month

The Town of Oak Island is proud to celebrate the businesses that help make our community vibrant, resilient, and unique through our Business of the Month program. This initiative recognizes outstanding local businesses that demonstrate excellence in customer service, community involvement, innovation, and overall contribution to the island's economic vitality. 

How it Works:

Open nominations: Nominations are accepted year-round through our online form. Anyone can nominate a business (residents, visitors, customers, or even fellow business owners). 

Monthly Selection: The Town's Business Advisory Board reviews all nominations and selects one business at their monthly meeting to be honored the following month. 

Recognition & Celebration: The selected business receives a certificate and an A-frame sign to display throughout the month. They'll also be featured on the Town's website and e-newsletter to highlight their achievements and contributions.
