The Oak Island Parks & Recreation Department is committed to providing services which help achieve the recreational, cultural, and human interests of people of all ages and abilities. The Department provides a variety of athletic, programs, festivals, special events, and classes, along with a variety of parks and recreational facilities.

All are welcome to "Come Recreate with Us" and learn more about future goals through the 5 Year Master Plan.

Recreation Center Information

The Recreation Department is housed in the Oak Island Recreation Center, located at 3003 E Oak Island Drive.

Hours of operation are:

• Monday – Thursday: 5:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Fridays: 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Sunday: CLOSED

Parks & Amenity Rentals 

Did you know? You can reserve park spaces or public amenities, including picnic shelters, sports fields, playgrounds, or even buildings / rooms! Oak Island has several public spaces which can be rented through the Park & Amenity Rental Form.
